Our first wild iguana...pretty cuuuute!!!

We were on our way south from Manta to Mantanita, when we stopped in a little town to buy some of the delicious dark bread made just about everywhere.  It's called pan negrito, and supposedly it is more whole grain than most...so better for you...

But that's not the story...Rox suddenly called out for me to take a look to the right...and right beside us, next to an out of school ground, was a four foot iguana.  He didn't seem particularly afraid of us, as he just climbed the 18" high curb, turned right, and just looked at us...STA72155.JPG
