Odds and Ends

Things have been going smoothly down here as we continue to enjoy November and December, transition months between the "dry" season and the "wet" season...

The dry season has more clouds in the daytime, but hardly any rain to speak of, and the wet season has beautiful, hot and humid days and tropical rains, mostly at night...

Right now, we have the best of all worlds, in that the air is warm, not much rain or humidity, and the water is like a bathtub...On our walk this morning, it was just like walking in Tahiti, I would imagine...

Here is a shot from our deck that I shot a few minutes ago...

And, since it's sort of "spring" here, we are seeing babies of all kinds...

kids are sent down on Sat night to swim and I think to clean up a little...not to mention learning to surf just fine...

Our new puppy, Coquita, is doing just great...she had her rabies shot on Wednesday, and was a little slow for a day, but is back to her old rocket self now...we gave her a bath with Johnson's Baby Shampoo, and she actually brightened up!  Here are the guys putting up two deck gates to keep her safely in tow until we decide that it's safe for her to go downstairs...

Speaking of Coquita...here she is after bath and brushing...

And, of course, we have to have a little iguana story...this little dude is the baby that was featured last summer that was so scared when we took his picture.  As you can see they grow up pretty fast--he's about a third the size of the dude featured previously...He is still scared to move...we walked past him about six times, and he didn't shift position...
