Folks, I hope I got your attention with my mixed metaphor--I been thinkin', so that's why you smell smoke...
Look--there is a huge economic upheaval coming...it could roll up the USA and the rest of the world into an ugly mess. The ducks are lined up, and it seems that, regardless of the November election results, there is going to be hell to pay...and no quick fixes...in fact, I don't see anything being fixed at all...
This blog is not the place for an economic free for all...I just wanted to mention to all of you nice readers, that you should take care of you and yours...and I mean soon!
Tighten up your belts, plan for a much leaner future, get some of the credit cards paid off, don't borrow any more, don't buy a new car. Loose money from banks on lines of credit has given America a feeling of well being like never before--people have been living high on the hog on the equity that used to be the nest egg that made their retirement comfortable. Not anymore!!! The banks are seeing the writing on the wall and are going to turn off the spigot!!! Contrary to the above advice--if you already have a line of credit loan in place, and you absolutely need it to live on (not for fun), get it out of the bank...because that line could evaporate in a second in the next few weeks or months, or even tomorrow.
There could be a serious run on the dollar--how that affects you is debatable, if you don't travel or buy things from overseas--maybe not so much.... But it will not be good for a government that is financing itself by borrowing trillions from others, and printing paper money 24 hours a day.
However, there is no doubt that the circulation of money will slow down...this will hurt lots of folks...that churning of money is what makes the world go round, and when it slows--everyone gets hurt. Just look at the present Real Estate market.
One of the reasons I decided to send out this little heads up, is that I wanted all of you to get ready personally to ride out this storm, and because I had a little discussion from a guy from Seattle who maintained that even tho there are serious economic problems facing the US right now, it is no big thing, because things will just bounce back--they always have!!!
My response to that is to ask the folks in post WWII Britain, Or 1980's USSR---did they see the bounce back?
I'm afraid that the air is flowing out the ball a little too fast for that famous bounce back...so take care everybody...you can still make a difference in your personal situation...
As they say in Africa--look the other way--maybe the tiger will eat somebody else!!!
