Rox's Recollections

Cuenca--We feel like kids in a candy store--hundreds of shops, numerous ones selling bolts of beautiful material, others displaying magnificent jewelry, clothes to die for, decorator items for every taste, pottery both modern and ancient, glassware for drinking and for gazing, paintings, again modern to ancient, three dimensional figures of every size, shape, and color combination--anything you could wish for including the basics like appliances, furniture, wine/liquor shops, and of course, a huge variety of good restaurants!!!

All this is in addition to the indigenous people's market which, not only sells every vegetable, meat and fish that you could wish for, but also huge corridors of every type of dry goods imaginable...
