In Ecuador, Spring is a little different...

As you all know, the seasons are upside down between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.  So, when fall is approaching in the north, we are having spring creep up on us.  Now, winter here, ain't so bad...the temp is about 65 to 70 degrees all the time.  The locals just say that they have a "wet" and "dry" season, with about a two month transitional barrier between each.

However, we are noticing that the plants and animals, and birds still seem to react to normal four season patterns...guess it is innate...

So...as we approach spring down here, we are seeing masses of flowers beginning to bloom, migrating birds are returning, and there seem to be lots of new animal babies to see...take a look...

This is our daffidol...

.and a couple of shots of burro babies...

These ducks and ducklings were just cooling it in the street across from the bakery where I buy fattening junk in Montanita...
