Dust-Up at the Beach...

Rox and I were enjoying a really great day for walking on the beach, the sun was out, some clouds, light breeze, plus we found a big sand dollar...all great stuff...when, all of  a sudden the ocean seemed to get really loud.  Now we are familiar with the rise and fall of sound as the waves come and go, but this was really loud...

We notice that all the little red sand crabs are running for their holes, and the vultures are getting nervous, and we look up, and here comes a fighter jet about 500 feet off the deck, straight over us...shook the hell out of the creatures on the beach, including us...The noise was deafening...and you could feel it in your bones...

With noise like that, this was no sneaky Pete type of bomber...

We used to watch the Air Force fly their trainers all around Manta, but those were just toys compared to the two that ran by us today...

We are familiar with F-14 Tomcats,  'cause they fly over Grants Pass on Memorial Day...these dudes were a lot more pointed...so I looked them up on Google...and here they are...

The one on the bottom is a French Mirage, and that is the dude...when you look up and can almost read the writing on the bottom, you know he is flying low...
