Gringo Night with Rich and Nancy

Every Friday night in Cuenca, a whole bunch of Gringos crawl out of their respective apartments, hostels, hotels, and bus rides, and come on down to have a little fun with their fellow travelers and ex-pats...

For now the occasion is each Friday and 5:00 pm at Zoe's Restaurant on Presidente Borrero street.

A good time was had by all, we traded cards with a few folks, and Rich and Nancy even had a long conversation with a couple who had transplanted from Ashland, Oregon, just a few miles down the road from the ranch they had just sold...small world...

Take a look

Not only do you get to shoot the bull with a lot of expats, but you get to have a bunch of great food...take a look and Rich getting the low down from his waitress...and the drinks are on sale, especially for Gringos...

Nancy taking it all in...

one more shot of the happy folks...plus sitting next to Nancy is Lulu, a nice Ecuadorian woman who has spend 41 years in the US, has a Doctorate in Culture and Communications, and has been talking to all of us about relocating back to Cuenca.  We are seeing a growing number of transplanted Ecuadorians making their way back to this really nice country...
