BobnRox in Ecuador

Mike and Patty have been corresponding with us for some time, and we have been happy to try our best to answer their questions about life in Ecuador...

It turns out that they were joining a tour of Gringos on a tour to buy property in Ecuador (Since Ecuador is the new darling of the Ex-Pat set--Costa Rica and Panama are fading...), and they planned to look at our area of the Coast, so we told them that it would be nice if they dropped by overnight,  in case they might have Real Estate questions...

They promise to travel a little lighter next visit...

Well, to make a long story short...it seems that the incredible number of Gringos right before them had pretty much made offers on, or purchased outright, all of the property that they had on their list.   Mike, their agent, mentioned that there might be a few more that were not readily available to the Internet, so we all decided that it would be best for them to stay on for a few more days...

Naturally they read the blog, and Patty said that she was dying to try the "Heart Attack Special" at the Casa Blanca...

They also liked the artwork shown in a past entry, so they were tickled to pose with these life-size figures--especially since Mike is an avid guitar collector...

We wish to thank them for binging down hard to get goodies, and for picking up meal tabs, and for leaving the latest hardcover John Lescroart novel--we are racing to finish our present books, so we can dig in...

And we will look forward to welcoming them to Ecuador...when all million and one things fall into place.
