Having fun with our brothers and their fun families...
As I said in the last entry, Rox's brother Ward, his wife Vee, and their daughter Rolanda arrived in Cuenca for a visit this week, and here are a bunch of pictures showing us having fun. Here is the airport arrival shot...
Of course, we always have to have wiener schnitzel at the Cafe Austria...just as good as it was in Germany...
and you have to shop at stands and stalls in the various squares...

Coquita is a great icebreaker for meeting the kids...
No visit is complete without seeing Feria Libre indigeneous people's market...always fun pics to be shot...
And...we were thrilled with the generous hospitality of Rich and Nancy, letting us be some of their first guests in their new penthouse condo...

They even let me try out the kitchen...and Rolanda never missed a beat as she waitressed.
'Course, Coquita has a special bond with "Uncle Rich"...
Nancy, our gracious hostess, posed on the new couch next a vase just found at a local pottery factory...I was also impressed with the bird of paradise flower that she had found at the peoples flower mart...good taste all around...and a big thanks to her and Rich for making all of us feel so welcome...
Rox and Vee thoroughly enjoyed Nancy's double chocolate sundaes...
Now that is some kitchen that it is a pleasure to cook in...Lomo Finos coming up!!!

As you can see from the last two pictures, we never miss an opportunity to take a shot of the llamas in the Caja National Forest...
Here we are taking it easy at the beach...Vee has discovered Pisco Sours...so she was emptying one of the bottles she bought in Cuenca...
Not bad they all say...as it burns all the way down...
Off to take a walk to collect shells...
