Montanita Hotel Artist Finally Surfaces...

Well, I was shootin' the bull with Alfonso while he was guarding the bank today, and he mentioned that the "edgy" artist that I like so much was just finishing breakfast, and would I like to be introduced?  Of course I jumped at the chance.

Our first meeting was muy simpatico, in that I couldn't say enough to him about how much I enjoyed his work, and tried, in my fractured Spanish, to convey why, and he seemed to understand most of it.  In any event, there were smiles all around.  I told him that I had featured his work in our blog, because I thought that people from around the world should see his work, and not just those folks passing by.

This brought more smiles, and he hurried me over to see the latest four works that he had completed.  I liked them so much that I asked if I could take his photo and put it in the blog...so here it is...

Meet Sr. Javier Esmeralda, a truly fine artist...

Being a fine statesman, he also insisted on taking a photo of me with the painting...

Here are the other works which I really liked...

As we were talking I noticed that the restaurant had a new computer, and I asked the young man behind the register if it was hooked up to the internet, and amazingly enough, it was...so i asked if I might bring up the blog to show Javier his work?  He said fine, and here is technology at work...

A number of your folks out there have written to say that you, also, like Javier's work, and to this end, I am going to put up his email address, so that you might send him an attaboy if the feeling moves you...I know he would appreciate hearing from you, and in addition, his English is better than my Spanish...

Here it is:  javieresmeralda73@hotmail.com

And here is David Collins,  the patron of all the artwork, and the owner of the Montanita Hotel...
