« The New Suite gets DirecTV, and the floor tile starts... | Main | Rox makes curtains for the Suite, and the Guys continue on... »

We spend Sunday painting the Suite--first coats, anyway...

We are spending Sunday trying to cover a darker color with white.  The Suite has 9 foot, beamed ceilings, but someone before us painted them all brown--the beams and the ceiling--making it feel closed in and smaller.

Between us, Rox is the best painter by far, in that she has a lot more patience and stays between the lines...skills,  that I pretty much lack...

So...she does all the work with the brush, and lets me kind of slop paint on the walls and ceiling where I don't do much damage.  We are doing this ourselves, because we don't have to worry about getting paint on the new floor tiles when they are installed, and because we don't want to slow up the guys, who have built up a nice head of steam...

Here's Rox...

Tomorrow, I'm off to Salinas to order DirecTV...
