Enjoying our Apartment in Cuenca--a little work, a lotta fun!

Our apartment in Cuenca is rented out by Cuenca Real Estate, and they do such a good job that we hardly ever get to stay in it ourselves...

This month we got a little more time, so we have been enjoying ourselves, and taking the time to do some maintenance that sometimes gets away from you, when you don't see it with your own eyeballs.

Here's Rox painting the inside of the railing before the next storm rolls in.  One thing about Cuenca--if you are going outside, you definitely do it with an eye to the sky.  That railing has five sections, while the photo shows only two.  Rox spent three hours painting, while these big thunderheads kept building overhead...she got finished...the rain started 10 minutes later...lucky for the paint job it was full on into the building, and didn't get her paint job wet.

Just in case you are wondering, Rox tends to think that I make less of a mess in the kitchen than I do with a paintbrush...as I was always the kid in school who did NOT color between the lines...'course, you all knew that already...so...I did food prep and gave Coquita a bath...

Not quite an equal trade...but it surely shortens the clean up time...I did get to put away the paint and clean the brush, however...

Oh my goodness. Your apartment looks like the one my sister and I want to rent when we come in November. We've been looking on the Cuenca Real Estate listing for apartments.
