We have a prehistoric visitor join us for lunch...

We were enjoying watching the waves as we had lunch the other day, and we each had the feeling that someone might be watching us.  We looked right, left and front to the beach and saw nothing, and then we heard some scratching directly above us!

This is what we saw staring back...

Now, you don't have to have a degree in science to speculate that this guy has not evolved much from the days his ancestors roamed the earth--much before man was even walking upright...hence the name for this entry "prehistoric".

These iguanas like sunbathing on our roof, 'cause it's warm, and it gets their blood moving faster, so they can go off and eat.  On our cooler days, they just sit up in their perches in the coco-palms and vegetate...but when the sun comes out, they come on down and munch away...
