Some updates on the new Suite construction...

The construction of the new suite is going on just fine, as you can tell by the following photos...

This stairway will provide easy and protected access to the second floor...

In fact, this cement form did double duty as a platform for all the guys having a beer after a really long day...

We want to especially thank Jack and Pat, and John and Chris, two really nice couples, who contributed their "left over beer" to the guys, for just such an occasion...

The guys look so good, that I included the other photo...     Lots of re-bar...

After building the forms for the steps, the guys hauled up the concrete to the top and dumped in on down to the guys waiting.

Here is the result of the pour, as it dries and waits for the exposed aggregate topping...

The roof is going along just fine...we are using a cement based roofing material which will resist the erosion of the wind and salt air...

It's not all work...we had a fun time with John and Chris at the Casa Blanca...(thanks guys...)

Also had a nice trip to Salinas with Robert and Jilleen, our current cottage guests, who are so nice to put up with our construction next door...

The Suite is looking great. Love the photo progress photos. As the 'parent' of two Bichons, I especially love the photo of your fluffer joining you on your outing. I have concerns about being able to take the Girls with us on outings. I've heard we can do it, but seeing photo reassures. I can't wait for June '12. Thanks again for sharing your experiences.
