Countdown to the Kid's Christmas Party...

Rox and I are ending a whirlwind 2 night visit to Cuenca, wish to thank our gracious hosts, Rich and Nancy, for making us feel so at home, as we blow in the front door, and turn their world into a whirligig of craziness...

The focus of this trip, was to get all the plates, glases, forks and spoons, and napkins,  needed to feed what we are thinking will be over 500 kids and moms (mostly moms--some dads).

We are rounding out some of the candy purchases, which we use to spice up the kid's goodie bags, and to reward a lot of volunteers, who help us make sure that everything runs smoothly...Here's Rox getting ready to load some goodies...

This behind the scenes stuff is not as glamorous, but it's paying attention to these nuts and bolts details, and makes the party more fun for all...

This year we are filling 500 baggies full of candy and animal crackers, and this number will also include 100 extra baggies to mullify the many kids who show up without tickets, and who are 11 years old or older...  Isidro and our other security staff keep order outside our gates, by lining up the older kids and passing out goodies...

It's pretty hot at this time of year, so it is not surprising that our happy guests consume gallons of soft drinks...

Some of the plates that will be filled up with food for kids and moms...

OK Folks...here's the pitch!  Your generosity has paid for all of the trucks and dolls that have been purchased.  The new photo sleaves have been paid for.

We would really appreciate a little more help,

as we contract out for the chairs and tables for over 400 people,

buy the soft drinks, hot dogs, chips or potato salad for the group,

pay for all the people it now takes to organize this event for smooth running,

and, at the end of it all, pay for about 350-400 Kodak enlargements of each kid getting a gift from Santa!

Just to get you in the mood, and to show you that no matter what you feel like sending along, you will make a huge difference to these children, who many times, only get a piece of fruit for Christmas...take a look at last year...

The easiest way to help out is to send some dough to our PayPal account

bobnrox@gmail.com which is the same as our eamil address...

Thanks mucho Folks...
