The new Suite is progressing nicely...

We've made a huge amount of progress on the suite since the last posting...take a look...

I liked this shot of Alfredo pulling large amounts of wire through the conduit to the upstairs unit...

He "greased" the wire with a candle before having the upstairs guy begin pulling the wire...

The kitchen counter tops begin as three slabs of granite.  Here the "artist" has cut off the edges that will be glued on again and rounded off to create the "bull nose" effect of a rounded edge.

Here you see him finishing cutting out the rounded edge of the bar.

You see here the pieces glued on the bottom for the bull nose...

Here is Manual getting ready to connect the sewer line into our main junction box.  This takes the effluent about 50 feet further to a huge septic tank which sits right by an extremely thirsty "Monkey Tree", as they call it in the jungle.  No problems here with excess.

When the windows arrived, everyone voiced an opinion about how to have locking doors coexist with the screens...

As you can see, the construction did not bother Tom and Candace...

Here, the guys are beginning the huge job of plastering the two story building...

Roxanne and Alfredo and making sure that everyone is on the same page as to spacing of the "pickets", before a screw is turned.

This little class took place after 6:00 pm after the guys had already put in a nine hour day!

Just before taking the granite upstairs...

The cabinet maker is making the kitchen cabinets mostly "onsite"...Here we are waiting for doors and upper cabinets...

Here's a shot of the new shower--big enough for two!!!

The view out through the new windows...

Here, Manual is finishing up the installation of the new water heater.  We use these with a tank that are electric, because of the unreliability of the "on demand" type.  These water heaters with a tank always have plenty of hot water right now, and that's goooood!

Our plaster expert, Silva, is putting the finishing touches on the "granito" effect for the stairs, to make sure that they are never slippery in the rain--plus they look good...

Another shot thru the windows...

With a sunset like this, you just have to put it in...

A big guy like Tom had no problems fitting into the hammock for a snooze...

When I'm doing this kind of job, all safety gears are attached.
It doesn't matter how heavy they are as long as I'm safe.

When my retirement comes, I'd love to settle in a home like this: somewhere tropical and near the beach. That's an amazing view from your window! The house is looking good. Great choice picking a water heater with an electric tank. With this type of heater, you can shower with hot water to your heart's content!
