Another Birthday is just another excuse to have TOO much fun!!!

Rich and Nancy visited us to help celebrate my birthday, and celebrate we did!  They were only here a few days, but we packed in a bunch of fun...here are some shots...

Nancy took this shot of us ol' coots at the Guayaquil Airport...these guys know how to travel--no checked baggage, and out of there like a flash...

Our new suite was finished just before they arrived, so it was fun that they were the inaugural couple to try it out...here is what was waiting for them, after Rox finished adding her decorative touches...

We had great sunsets every night!

With weather like this, a person can not take a bad shot...

Coquita agrees...

And...in the time between stowing their luggage and before quitting time, all the granite back splashes were beveled and installed...see above...

Alfredo, who is pictured with Rox, not only is a great Papa Noel, but built this place and the garage from a couple of scratches on a napkin and a few marks in the dirt...

The next night, we had a scrumptious dinner at Shell and Marsha's Palatial Estate...

Is that a great look or what?

Here is a shot of the first time our new car got to try out its new home...pretty cool...

It's not to dumb to be excited about a garage, especially when your first car was eaten alive by the salt air...Rox took this shot as it triggered the remote from inside the car...

We all went off to Ayangue, just down the road, for some fabulous shrimp washed down with beer...

As usual, we were treated like royalty at the Casa Blanca...things are gearing up for New Year's Eve...the folks just keep coming, and nobody's leaving!

That pineapple shrimp dish is #5 on the menu, and they don't describe it right, so just order number five, and you will have one of the really good dishes in Ecuador...   And yes, it's as good as it is big!

You can imagine what the crowds will be like tonight, if there are this many folks watching juggling two days before New Year's Eve!  I went in to get some dough from the ATM early this morning, and already one is out of cash.  The interior streets are blocked off from auto traffic, but the streets will hardly contain the partyers...

There are no rooms to be had anywhere near Montanita, so the beaches will be roiling with restless sleepers tonight...or early in the morning...our local gendarmes add extra men tonite, just to make sure that everyone is safe thru the night--especially on the beach...
