Montanita! Surf Championship! Sun & Fun! Lots of Beer! Rockin' Disco! See & Be Seen! Absolutely Bursting at the Seams!!!

Montanita hosted the Reef Surf Championships again this year, but nobody bothered to pull up the gangplank when it was overflowing full!  In fact, as you will see in the following photos, there were people everywhere at 3:00 in the afternoon...but what was really crazy, is that when Rox and I left the Casa Blanca about 9:00 pm, there was a mile long line of cars patiently waiting to get in!  There was only one parking spot left, and that was the one we had just vacated!  Take a look!

For all our friends and readers, who are freezing up north, and are soaked in Cuenca, we want to give you a taste of what it's like here at the Coast!

Professional photogs come in all shapes and sizes, but surely don't have to dress up!

I thought I knew what that symbol was, but haven't figured it out yet...

This symbol is a little easier...

Here is the second shot that Rox took of me getting to pose with these very nice young ladies.

And, just to emphasize "nice"--these people are the best!  With thousands of folks flocking to a little town that had no hope of serving all of them, we only saw four police officers in the afternoon, and with all the traffic jams, in the evening, we only saw ONE!  And, did we see any lost tempers, one finger salutes, or worse--No we didn't--not one time!

So, in case you've forgotten, there still are places where people still "get along"
