A Soft Landing in Oregon...

After driving for four hours south from Portland to Grants Pass...

Just before we entered the Grants Pass area, we turned off to visit Art and Ruth, old friends who live in a nice, friendly home about 8 miles off the freeway. We have known them for decades, and it was a real pleasure to have our first social gathering at their place. It was good to wind down, and a beautiful Sunday afternoon, in garden full of green foliage and the wonderful aroma of plants, trees, and beautiful redwoods.

So...thanks a lot Art and Ruth...you made our return to Grants Pass a mellow one...

A couple of shots of everyone.  We also thank Guy for waiting two days to drive us down...

As we write this entry, we know that our luggage is in Portland, on the way to Medford AP Delta office.  Delta has been just wonderful to us...they get a gold star for customer service.

As a retired Northwest/Delta employee, I am glad to see positive comments about my company. It makes me feel good that my ex fellow employees are keeping up the good work.
