A few warm sunsets for our "frozen" friends up North...

Here are a few "wiggle your toes in the sand" before "jumping into bathtub warm water" sunsets.  A young couple staying here just told us that their mothers in Canada reported 27 degrees below zero Celcius!!!  That's 16 below zero F...

Here is what they had to wear to cope with our "harsh" winter here at the beach!!!

Brittney and Madrix arrived looking a little pale, but they have been diligent in their pursuit of their tan provided by the Equator sun...

It is no wonder that so many nice Canadians are coming down here to live...

And...in case you are decorating your own birthday cake, here is a shot of Coquita sitting on top of the cake our "people " brought me for my birthday, They also sang Happy Birthday, first in Spanish, and next in English.

Have a great new year everybody--maybe this can be the year that everybody can just "get-along"!!!

Speaking as one of those Canadians (I hope I'm a nice one!), it was bitterly cold last week. The -27C is absolutely correct but he forgot to mention the wind chill fact (-37C at our place, brrrr) My sister and I are coming to EC the last week of Feb to the middle of March. We hope to get to your neck of the woods a few days before we leave. I can't wait to enjoy the beautiful sunsets you post pictures of and 'wiggle my toes in the sand'. I really enjoy your posts. Who knows? Maybe we'll bump into you while we're there.
I hope your new year is filled with joy.
